MAPS 4.0 quick start guide in no way replaces the in-built help or training material that exists for Adroit. Nor does it attempt to cover every single aspect of the Adroit Smart SCADA product. Instead, it is aimed at a first-time user who, having downloaded the Setup.EXE installer, needs some guidance to get up and running and productive in the shortest possible time.

A geographic information system (GIS) is simply a way of displaying data related to specific positions on the Earth’s surface to allow one to more easily understand their patterns and relationships. GIS relates to SCADA because most often the starting point of navigation in geographically dispersed projects is a map overview, since this is a natural and logical reference point to centralize information on, and control tasks from. By using the Geographic Information System (GIS) Add-on, you can add intelligence to these map overviews by providing icons that represent the actual positions of your items, such as your plant or equipment locations.

PC with SmartUI installed <- This could simply be an Operator PC which is configured to connect to another Server within the network OR the actual SmartUI Server PC.
NO open firewall ports, external -> internal internet access, IIS installation or other software is required

Adroit Air Quick Start Guide

Adroit Air is an alarm notification platform that enables users to receive alarms and process data directly on their smart devices.

Introduction
This document deals specifically with the Adroit Air Datasource functionality.

Throughout this document, it is assumed that users have downloaded the mobile app and registered an account. Adroit Air requires internet access. All configuration and notification delivery runs through HTTPS.

Installation
The installation should be run on the SmartUI Server. Make sure that the SmartUI Server and any clients have been stopped. Run the installation. Follow the prompts and complete the process.

This process should be completed on all the PC’s that have SmartUI Designer installations. After installation, the SmartUI Server and clients can be started again.

Adroit Secure Mobile Gateway is an additional software component providing Web Access to existing Adroit graphics, giving you secure remote access on any device anywhere.

Secure Mobile Gateway technology provides web browser access (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Opera etc.) from any device. User interface graphic forms can be designed once for display on any device that supports an HTML 5 browser.

Secure Mobile Gateway requires no open firewall ports, a secure channel is initiated from the client side, preventing any direct exposure to sniffing, DDOS attacks and hacking attempts. Runs on industry-standard encryption technology used by thousands of users (RFC 4419/4432/6594 compliant). Additional IT infrastructure changes or open inbound ports are not required (uses HTTPS). Direct HTML 5 representation of the operator is provided. The solution is application-specific and specifically designed and optimised for the operator.
